Nigeria, MHWUN, North-
Central zone, Richard Gbawuan,
has commended the Plateau State
Governor, Simon Lalong, for the
prompt payment of workers’
salaries and for also clearing the
backlog of salaries and pensions
inherited from the previous
Gbawuan made the
commendation while receiving
an award from a group, the
Arewa Youth Assembly in Jos, the
Plateau State capital, yesterday.
Speaking to newsmen after the
award, Gbawuan called on other
governors who still owe salaries
of workers to emulate Governor
“The huge debt and backlog
of salary arrears that Lalong
inherited did not deter him
from executing his plans for
the people. He is doing his best
to make Plateau great again.
Governor Lalong is doing well
in fixing the economy of Plateau
and I call on workers in the state
to support him.’’
He also commended President
Muhammadu Buhari for the
successes recorded in the fight
against insurgency and other
security challenges. “I must
commend Mr President for the
efforts in restoring peace in
the country and also pray for
him to recover fast”, even as he
cautioned youths in the country
against drug abuse and other
social vice
