275 women and children, who were recently rescued from Boko Haram camps in Sambisa forest by military troops, are undergoing medical attention and psycho social therapy.
The victims are from an Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs’ camp in Yola, Adamawa state capital.
Director Defence Information, Maj- Gen. Chris Olukolade confirmed the development to PRNigeria.
Olukolade said that the essence of e evacuation was to enable the affected persons to undergo a psycho social rehabilitation programme arranged by the Office of the National Security Adviser.
He confirmed that they are presently in a safe location considered more conducive for them to undergo the next phase of the programme
“They are expected to be better prepared to join their communities at the end of the programme,” he concluded.
The rehabilitation programme is one of the initiatives of the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki under the Soft-Approach to counter-terrorism.
