Few hours after taking over the leadership of the party, the acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Uche Secondus, yesterday met behind closed-doors with President Goodluck Jonathan in his office.
Secondus, who served as the party’s Deputy National Chairman, had taken over the affairs of the PDP following the resignation of its National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu.
He arrived the State House for the meeting about 5pm in the company Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State.
While the meeting was not open for media coverage, it may not be unconnected with the latest change of guard in the leadership of the party.
The meeting was still on at the time of filing this report.
