The Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East, Obong Bassey Albert has called on the people of the Senatorial District to support the administration of Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for the industrialization of the state.
Senator Albert made the charge when he paid a solidarity visit to the people of Uruan local government area, where he was received by political stakeholders, women and youths from the area.
Obong Albert said the programs and packages developed by the Udom Emmanuel administration for Akwa Ibom people will transform the state from a mono-economy to a multi-economy status. Speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner for Transport, Prince Godwin Ntukudeh, praised the Senator for embarking on the visit, which he said would redefine the real essence of political and social development, particularly at the grassroots level. He charged the people to support the Udom Emmanuel administration to enable them witness more dividends of democracy.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Gas, who was on the visit to give a progress report to his constituents, also paid a visit to stakeholders of Uyo local government area.
Receiving the Senator on behalf of Uyo people, the commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Prince Enobong Uwah, thanked Senator Albert for remembering the people, stressing that the collaboration enjoyed between members of the leadership of the state and members of the National Assembly will bring further development to the people.
The former Commissioner for Finance also visited Ibiono Ibom and Nsit Atai local government areas, and assured the people of continued transformation, support and empowerment. He also commended the people for support the Udom Emmanuel, noting the administration as one with the key to unlock the economic fortunes of the state.
In the meantime, a front-line politician and grassroots mobilizer, Mr. Daniel Udoh, popularly known as North South, has called on the people of Uyo Senatorial District to key into the empowerment programs of Senator Bassey Albert, which he described as life-touching and soul-lifting.
Mr. Udoh made the assertion during a familiarization visit by the Senator to the people of Ibiono Ibom. He noted that Senator Albert’s plans for the people cut across all facets of human endeavours, irrespective of age and class, and will be the first of its kind by a federal lawmaker from the state.
