Senator that represented Bauchi Central in the last administration of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi has donated 16 vehicles, including ambulances, to his constituency.
Making the presentation in Bauchi, the former Senate leader explained that the essence of making such donations was to contribute towards improving the lives of people as well as to fulfil his promises to the people of his constituency during the 2015 general elections, saying losing the position during the last general elections cannot stop him from fulfilling his promise.
“During my campaign in 2015, I promised to present such vehicles to my people and today with God Almighty; I have finally fulfilled my promise with this donation. This gesture is from my heart, I did not do it because I am looking for any assistance from anybody but to add value to the lives of my people. The donation was as a result of PDP intervention power project in my zone and nobody can stop me from assisting the people of my constituency” he said.
According to the former Senate leader, the beneficiaries of the 10 Mitsubishi buses include National Obstetrics Fistula Center Ningi, School of Health Technology Ningi, College of Legal and Islamic Studies Misau, National Union of Road Transport Workers from Misau, Ganjuwa, Dambam, Ningi, Warji, Darazo and Social Development Institute Ningi.
He added that the six ambulances is for General Hospital Ganjuwa, Misau, Warji, Dambam, Darazo and Ningi local governments respectively but however, stated he will not force anybody to take the vehicle if the person thinks receiving this vehicle from him will jeopardize his work.
