The Special Assistant on media and publicity to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governor ship candidate in the recently concluded April elections, Chuwang Dung has debunked rumours that his boss, Senator Gyang Pwajok is dead.
In a statement he signed he described the rumour as mischievous and said the former senator is on holidays abroad. “Our attention has been drawn to rumours being peddled by some mischievous elements that distinguish Senator Gyang Pwajok, the Plateau State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate in the last election is dead.
“We wish to use this medium to assure the citizens of Plateau State and confirm with clarity that Senator Pwajok is alive, hale and hearty and is enjoying his holiday abroad.
”We are not oblivious of the fact that the unfolding mischief is a publicity strategy to distract the teeming supporters of Pwajok from the ongoing judicial arbitration process which is highly in our favour.
“We however remain resolute and focused on reclaiming our mandate giving to us by the good people of Plateau State.”
The statement also advised the fabricators of such malicious lies to find other means of channeling their panic as God is the giver of life and “He alone determines the life of all mortals.
“We appeal to citizens of the state to remain calm and steadfast and focus on the challenges of governance, insecurity, sanitation of the capital city, destruction of democratically elected structures and stop peddling falsehood to distract the people.”
