There seems no end in sight in the rift between Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai and Senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani, as the latter has continued to keep his distance from all activities organised by the governor.
Only yesterday, the senator again stayed away from El-Rufai’s town hall meeting held in Zone 2, Kaduna Central Senatorial District and instead opted to hold a parallel meeting in his own zone.
The town hall meeting, which was fourth edition, is an annual meeting organised by El-Rufai to carry along the people of the three senatorial zones in the state by providing them avenue to interact with the governor.
The first town hall meeting was held in Zone 2 of Kaduna Central, second in Zone 1, Zaria, third in Zone 3, Kafanchan and the fourth in Zone 2, Kaduna.
Meanwhile, Senator Sani, on the other hand, decided to hold a parallel meeting where he advised all heads of federal ministries, departments and agencies in Kaduna to employ graduates within their host communities.
Speaking during the interactive session with the theme ‘Partnering for Development’ Senator Sani urged the heads of the MDAs to take seriously the issues of corporate social responsibilities.
According to Sani, the problem of insecurity and youth restiveness can be addressed when employable members of host communities are employed.
