In furtherance of protecting oil and gas facilities in the Delta region, men of the 222 battalion in Agbarha Ughelli north area of Delta State, have arrested three suspected vandals over the bombing of oil and gas facilities in Afisere area last week.
Gen. Chance Akpatakpo, Jonah Agana and Morrison Emesechovwe are the suspects arrested. It will be recalled that Gen. Chance Akpatakpo was a phase 2 amnesty leader, from Ewu ughelli South LGA delta state.
According to sources, the suspects were arrested on a tip off from the Israel Akpodoro led intelligence network in a synergy with the men of the Operations Delta Safe aimed at riding the region of of criminal elements.
Explaining how the suspected vandals were arrested, Akpodoro stated that the army arrested and detained the duo of Agana and Emesechovwe at the operational base , Agbarha.
Akpatakpo who was said to be on the wanted list of the Operation Delta Safe went to bail his colleagues from the army and was quickly recognised and taken into custody.
Recall that Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate has at the heels of the bombing at Afisere-Ekiugbo delivery lines claimed responsibility for the action which wrecked-havoc on the Ekiugbo delivery line operated by Nigeria Petroleum Development Company, NPDC/shoreline.
According to Akpodoro who is the President of the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex Agitators ,NCNDE-A, vowed to ensure no Urhobo youth engage in vandalism of pipelines noting that it is not in the character of Urhobo sons and daughters to destroy government properties adding that whoever does so stands the risk of being exposed immediately.
As far as the NCNDE-A is concerned, the Urhobo-born group leader said there was no hiding place for criminals warning that parents should monitor their wards and children as the dragnet of the security apparatus will spare no effort at handing over any suspected criminal to the army.
He called on the people to bring their grievances to the roundtable with the federal government rather than destroying “our national assets.”
“If you want development, you support the current administration so that the desired result would be achieved. You don’t attack a government that have your interest at heart.
President Buhari has the interest of the Niger Delta region at heart but we must support him.” The vociferous ex-militant leader stated adding that urhobo youths should not emulate the recalcitrant tribes whose stock in trade is violent crimes and criminalities.

in the history of the Urhobos there has never been such a traitor as Akpodoro. He is cheaply trying to be relevant after being gratified presumably. The entire Urhobos repudiate the antics of their kinsman who decided to sell his conscience for a stipend at the expense of ethnic development and overall interest. Akpodoro has family and he should be weary of reprisal on his family since he has mortgaged his life and that of his family members. I trust the Urhobo youths because nobody betrays an Urhobo man and goes free.
