Soldiers yesterday killed a member of Islamic Movement in Nigeria otherwise known as Shi’te and injured two others in Kaduna State.

The deceased named Umar Haruna died on the spot after being shot on the chest the uniform men identified to be soldiers.
The incidence occurred around 5:15pm a stone throw from the residence of the leader of the group in the state.
Report from the area said trouble began after the soldiers came to the area in a Hilux vehicle and tried to pass through the iron used to barricade the road by members of the sect.
“When they arrived in their vehicle they tried to pass through the iron used to block the road for security reason since it was the street housing our leader in the state.
“Our member who they met outside told them the road is closed but they still went in after they discovered they couldn’t pass through with their vehicle. They made a u-turn and came to arrest the boy,” a resident said.
It was gathered that the soldiers forced the boy into their vehicle but his colleagues in the area surrounded the soldiers demanding his release.
When the soldiers realized the danger, they released the boy but open fire on the crowd.
“The deceased was hit on the chest and died on the spot. The remaining two people were rushed to a nearby hospital,” he said
When contacted, Army Division spokesman, Colonel Yusuf Abdul couldn’t be reached as he didn’t pick his calls.
