Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU, has inaugurated a chapter in Federal University, Lokoja, with a view to conforming to uniform method of performing onerous duty in the universities across the country.
The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja, Professor Angela Brimai enjoined the association to work in conformity with the philosophy ‎ of the University in imparting quality education on the students for them to be better citizens in future.
At the inauguration ceremony on thursday in Lokoja, the following staff were elected to pilot the affairs of SSANU, Federal University, Lokoja chapter: Ajao Abdulkareem, Chairman; Dr. Yahaya Ogrima, Vice; Atabo Benjamin, Secretary; Adedayo Olukayode, Treasurer; Ishaq Khalid, Financial Secretary; Aiyemo Cosmas, PRO and Christy Adewumi as women leader.
In post election remarks, the new chairman of SSANU of the Institution reminded them of security challenges facing the nation, urging members to be observant by extending their searchlight far into the orbit to challenge human right infractions that may lead to break down of law and order in the varsity.
