Nigerian Stock market closed on a negative note on Monday, as NSE ASI depreciated by 0.37% to close at 27,015.97basis points, compared with the 0.33% appreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -5.68%.
Market breadth closed negative as Stanbic led 14gainers against 28losers topped by NEM Insurance at the end of yesterday’s session- an unimproved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closes negative as volume declined by 43.35% against 12.09% uptick recorded in the previous session. Zenith Bank, Transcorp and UBA were the most active to boost market turnover. GTB and Zenith Bank top market value list.
