ACTIVITIES on the Nigerian Stock market closed on a positive note yesterday after losing 4.08 per cent in the last six days. The NSE ASI appreciated by 1.14% to close at 27,945.02basis points, compared with the 0.11% depreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -2.43%.
Market breadth closed positive as Oando led 24gainers against 14Losers topped by AIR Service at the end of yesterday’s session- an improved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closes negative as volume declined by 24.25% against 48.01% uptick recorded in the previous session. Zenith Bank, UBA and Access Bank were the most active to boost market turnover. NB and Zenith Bank top market value list.
NEM Insurance leads the list of active stocks that recorded impressive volume spike at the end of yesterday’s session.
