Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has appealed to organisations and parastatals to stop rejecting corps members.
Speaking at the end of the NYSC orientation course of the 2015 Batch ‘B’ Stream one corps members deployed to the state, Bello said the trend where corps members are rejected when posted to various organisations should stop.
“We appreciate all employers of corps members in the state and appeal to them to continue to accept those posted to their organisations.”
The governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso, said government is putting in place the necessary logistics for effective and efficient utilisation of corps members.
Bello, who assured the corps members of their security and welfare, urged them to have a positive impact on the lives of the people they are going to meet.
Meanwhile, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Bolade Loto, warned the newly deployed corps members against unauthorised travels outside the state, outlining the dangers and penalties that await them if this warning is flouted.
She commended them for exhibiting discipline, seriousness and dedication during the orientation course.
