Nat ional Association
of Nigerian Students,
Osun axis, in its
convention to elect new
officers has condemned
in totality the inability
of the Osun State
government to pay
workers their salaries for
the seventh consecutive
This was disclosed
in a press statement
issued yesterday by the
students and signed by
the Chairman, Comrade
Adekitan Lukman.
According to the
statement, the attitude
of the Government on
the issue of non-payment
of salary is on the verge
of killing the already
faint hope of the people
who voted en mass for
Aregbesola last August.
“It is more
disheartening as no sign
of an end to the untold
hardship being faced
by the good people of
Osun that repose their
confidence in the ability
of Ogbeni to take us to
greater heights.”
The students added
further that, “We are
constrained to bear
our mind because the
issue has degenerated
to a very worrisome
dimension to the extent
that religious bodies in
the state are donating
food to workers.”
The students however
demand that workers
salaries from December
2014 to date be paid
within the next 14 days
so that the schools can reopen
or government of
Osun State be prepared to
meet their revolutionary
reaction by Friday, June
26, 2015 across the length
and breath of the state
