Tambuwal appreciates people of Sokoto state for his re-election

Incumbent Governor and winner of the just concluded supplementary election, Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has thanked the people of Sokoto State for putting their trust in him by re-electing him into office.

Tambuwal who was recently declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, after defeating his major opponent Ahmad Aliyu with a difference of 341 votes assured his people of an inclusive government adding that his victory was a victory for all.

Taking to his twitter handle, Tambuwal wrote: “I want to specially thank the good people of Sokoto State, who went above and beyond to vote for continuity of the development of our dear state.

“We shall continue to work tirelessly and initiate projects that will directly impact positively on the lives of our people.

Tambuwal went further to urge his supporters to maintain peaceful victory celebrations as they strive to make the State better.

“We have succeeded in winning this election with all of you and we will ensure a strategic government that will involve all, so as to develop Sokoto State and maintain its credibility and respect in the country and the world at large.

“We have won the election and we need to celebrate it, but I urge all of you to maintain peaceful victory rallies and also pray for the best leadership of our dreams.

“I want to specially thank the good people of Sokoto State, who went above and beyond to vote for continuity of the development of our dear state.
