Sokoto State governor-elect, Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has promised to explore all avenues in order to move the state to a greater height.
In his acceptance speech, Tambuwal thanked the people of Sokoto who came out en mass to cast their votes for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He also used the opportunity to call on the entire stakeholders, including his opponents at the polls, to join forces so that the state would move forward.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Aliyu Wammakko who saw him through the road to the Sokoto Government House.
In a related development, a coalition of electoral observers yesterday described election in Sokoto as free, fair and credible.
Barrister Festus Okoye, who spoke on behalf of the election observers at briefing held at the collation centre in Sultan Muhammadu Maccido Institute for Qur’anic and General Studies, Sokoto, expressed satisfactions with conduct of the governorship election in Sokoto.
He pleaded with winners and losers to embrace peace so that the state could move to a greater height.
