In order to enrich its personnel with the techniques of information management during conflicts and military operations, the Nigerian Army has organised a three-day programme for its public relations officers.
The programme, according to a statement issued yesterday by Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu on behalf of the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, will hold between October 25-28 at Headquarters 7 Division, Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri, Borno State.
Nwachukwu said the programme is the Directorate of Army Public Relations, DAPR 2015, Third Quarter Study Period with the theme “Enhancing Information Management in Conflicts and Military Operations.”
The programme will be declared open by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai, today, while the Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, is expected to deliver a keynote address.
“The exercise which will witness seminars and presentation of papers by public relations practitioners will also have scholars from the academia in attendance. The study period is designed to educate and update DAPR personnel on the best global public relations practice, particularly during conflicts and military operations,” the statement revealed.
