John Terry revealed his ankle is “feeling much better” and that he will be back soon after posting a video of him working out in a swimming pool.
The Chelsea defender suffered an ankle injury in his side’s 2-2 draw with Swansea at the Liberty Stadium and was forced to miss the Liverpool game.
The club expected the 35-year-old to be out for around 10 days.
But as you can see in the above video, the Blues legend appears to be making a swift recovery and is already preparing for his return.
He also joined his teammates at training on Monday ahead of Tuesday night’s Football League Cup third round tie at Leicester.
The clip shows Terry working out in a swimming pool, presumably to keep his ankle protected while he continues his recovery.
Writing alongside the footage, which he posted on Instagram, the centre back said: “Late night session in the pool.
“My ankle is feeling much better, hopefully I will be back soon”.
Recent Chelsea signing David Luiz filled in for Terry as the west-London side were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
The club travel to Leicester tomorrow to face the Premier League champions in the third round of the Football League Cup.
