Police nab 3 kidnappers, rescue 4 victims in Kogi

Three young men who allegedly stole chicken from a poultry farm at Emene, Enugu, Enugu State have been arrested by the police.

Before they were arrested, they had carted away about one hundred and fifty fowls, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amaraizu reveals in a release.

According to the release, the three suspects are Sunday John, Uchenna Igoka and Onyekachi Ede.

The suspects were arrested in their hideouts at Orjinator Oji River in Enugu state following intelligence information.

Following the arrest of the trio, manhunt has been intensified to apprehend the other fleeing thieves.

Meanwhile no fewer than 100 fowls have been recovered from suspects including a toyota hiace bus with registration number UWN 456 XT which they allegedly used in the commission of the offence.

Amaraizu indicated in the release that the suspects are now helping the operatives in their investigation, while the suspects are tearfully asking that they be forgiven saying that they were induced into the act by Satan.
