Mauricio Pochettino is still interested in Real Madrid star Isco despite the Spaniard’s recent run in the side.

The 24-year-old midfield playmaker has started five of the last six games for the Champions League holders since complaining of a lack of first-team action earlier in the season.

He has yet, however, to receive a new contract despite approaching the final 18 months of his deal at the Bernabeu.

Tottenham , who remain five games without a win, made in enquiry for Isco during the summer transfer window but did not pursue their interest.

They could return in January with a loan bid, however, with Pochettino a big fan of the playmaker.

Speaking last month, Isco insisted he did not consider leaving Real in the summer.

“The club said nothing and I never looked for anything to leave. In the end, I’m responsible and that’s where I must improve.
