Socio-critic and retired Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav yesterday criticised the cancellation of appointments and other official activities carried out by the immediate past governor of the state, Gabriel Suswam by his successor, Samuel Ortom.
It would be recalled that Governor Ortom last Wednesday voided the appointment of first class chiefs and recruitments made into the civil service by his predecessor.
However, speaking to Nigerian Pilot Saturday on phone, Tsav said, “I don’t think the action Gov Ortom took in voiding the appointments made by former Gov Suswam is right.
“At the time Suswam made these appointments, he was governor of Benue State and had the right and power to make such appointments.
“Suswam met the same situation when he took over from Akume but did not void it. It’s a bad start. This situation may boomerang, after all government is a continuous process,” Tsav maintained.
