Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav has accused Governor Samuel Ortom of abandoning Agatu people to their fate and chose to attend the thanksgiving service organised by Gana, known to be the king of criminals who surrendered arms in the state last year.
“He did not even visit the area to see things for himself. Instead, Governor Ortom organised and attended a thanksgiving service for his friend, Gana.”
It would be recalled that scores of people were killed in Agatu last week after suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded communities in the area.
Tsav whose criticism was contained in a press statement made available to Nigerian Pilot in Makurdi yesterday described Governor Ortom’s action as surprising as he should have gone to Agatu for on the spot assessment.
He wondered why the governor accepted a magic walking stick from Gana, asking, “What a contraction, or is the governor preparing Gana for his 2019 second term campaign strategy?”
