Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa was among the goals for CSKA Moscow as the Russian side held a late fightback to beat PSV Eindoven 3-2 to go joint top of Group B with Manchester United in this season’s UEFA Champions League.
It was Musa who opened the floodgate, early on in the 7th minute before Senegalese international, Seydou Doumbia added the second for CSKA in the 21st minute and scored the third from the penalty spot. He was, however, to miss a chance to earn himself a hat trick when he missed another penalty with a minute to half time.
Maxime Lestienne got a brace for the visitors within the space of eight minutes as the Dutch side pressed to restore parity.
At Old Trafford, Manchester United defeated Wolfburg 2-1 with Chris Smalling puts home side in front after delightful pass by Juan Mata. Mata grabbed equalising goal from penalty spot after handball.
