Former Kwara United trainer Samson Unuanel has been linked with the vacant Shooting Stars FC job.
“I leave my next destination to the watchful eyes of God,” said Coach Unuanel in a chat with an online football portal, allnigeriasoccer at the weekend.
Shooting Stars sacked Franklin Howard as head coach on Tuesday after a meeting of the club’s board on Monday.
Unuanel steered Kwara United back to the Nigeria Professional Football League at the end of the 2013/14 campaign.
Also linked with the Oluyole Warriors hotseat are Alphonsus Dike, Gbenga Ogunbote and Henry Abiodun.
Howard is the third gaffer to be sacked after 3SC announced on Thursday that the veteran coach has been relieved of his duty as the handler of the Oluyole Warriors.
Howard followed the footpaths of Solomon Ogbeide and Kelechi Emeteole who were fired by Bayelsa United and Enugu Rangers respectively after the clubs’ slow start to the 2014/2015 league season.
Shooting Stars are last on the log with eight points from nine matches and the management of the Ibadan side have not failed to wield the big stick barely 24 hours after the Flying Antelopes announced the stepping aside of Emeteole as the head coach of Enugu Rangers.
