Otokiti community in Lokoja local government area of Kogi State, has been assured of better improvement in its infrastructure in the second term administration of Governor Idris Wada.
The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, stated this when he held meeting with residents of the area as part of efforts to woo electorate ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
Awoniyi, commended the residents for their abiding faith in the PDP since 1998, assuring that issues relating to the reticulation of greater Lokoja Water Works to the area, improvement in the electricity supply and road network would top the administration’s priority if Wada is reelected for second term.
Awoniyi, described Capt Idris Wada, the candidate of the PDP as an angel and light, saying that the governor’s antecedent and character while in office, makes him suitable to be reelected.
He therefore called on the residents to make the choice that would guarantee improved living condition for their children and even those unborn, saying that a solid foundation has already been laid by Capt Wada, which he will complete or consolidate in his second term in office.
Awoniyi, made donation for the repairs of the community’s borehole, urging them to turn out en mass on Saturday and vote wisely for the PDP, as the area stands better protected under a PDP led administration.
Earlier in his remarks, Tajudeen Otokiti, spokesman of the community, said the area had resolved to work for Capt Wada, even as he solicited the support of the government for transformers, repair of their boreholes and good road network in the community.
