Osun State deputy governor, Mrs Grace Titilayo Laoye-Tomori has urged politicians to desist from killing their fellow human beings because of power, stressing that the best way to achieve power was to have faith in God.
Tomori said this while speaking at the 10th anniversary of Everlasting Covenant Miracle Power Mission, ECMPM, Testing Ground, Osogbo, yesterday.
She chided politicians who are using human beings for sacrifice while aspiring for position, describing it as “evil and satanic.”
The deputy governor, who was speaking from the book of Luke, Chapter 8 in the Bible, however charged politicians to seek the help of God whenever they are aspiring for any post, saying “He is capable of giving us whatever we want.”
Speaking at the occasion, the Osun State director of National Open University, NOUN, Professor Yemisi Pitan advised the youths to give utmost priority to education which, according to her, has been made easy.
Describing NOUN as an avenue to achieve educational knowledge with ease, she added that the institution had made provision for adult education.
Earlier in his welcome address, the general overseer of ECMPM, Rev. Josheph Dele Ilori who spoke on the theme, ‘Revelation of God’s Glory,’ said only God could guarantee glory.
He expressed optimism that the state would be liberated from its present predicament, adding that “God wants us to turn the state from idolatry and become the state of God.”
Speaking on the continuous reign of terrorism, Ilori described it as a sign of end time, stressing that the only way out was to return to God in order to gain heaven.
“The more men of God preach for heaven, the more Satan calls for the hell. The current insurgent is not new because many of such has happened in the past.”
