Bauchi State Governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has reiterated the determination of his administration to do away with corruption activities, saying that the government will leave no stone unturned to ensure that every public funds and indeed property frittered away are recovered.
The Governor stated this recently where he said the present administration has tolerance for corruption and there will not be sacred cows in the dealings of his administration when sanctions become necessary.
He said the state government would critically focus on ways and means to improve the internally generated revenue with a focus of establishing an auditable systems of managing the state common wealth as well as partnering with professional bodies to enhance the quality of financial management practices to earn revenue to the state.
Governor Abdullahi stated that they will immediately swung into action towards ending the indolence and ghost personnel syndrome in the over blotted civil service by way of conducting a forensic auditing as a commercial bank in the state has offered to carry out a biometric exercise of all personnel under the state payroll and the local governments free of charge.
On the Youth restiveness, the Governor explained that Youth Development Centres would be set up in all the three senatorial zones that will be manned by medical experts, psychologists and skill trainers in close collaboration with security agencies, parents and traditional institutions to address the restiveness.
