Eagles’ defender, Godfrey Oboabona has vowed to confront Chad National team without taking anything for granted.
Speaking exclusively to Nigerian Pilot sports in Abuja, the Turkish-based defender claimed that there are no longer minnows in Africa football, adding that African countries always go extra mile to confront Nigeria in any match.
“For me, I don’t like to hear when people say Chad is a small team or small country because even when the Super Eagles want to play against even a primary school, the moment they hear the name, they prepare very hard and give more than 100% on match day.”
He maintained that they have decided to give their very best in the match knowing that the Chadians would be coming to Nigeria with the mind to upset them. The defender said they have learnt from their mistakes and will do everything possible to ensure they get the three points.
Said he “So we are playing against Chad, I believe they are going to come out to play us and that is why we have to be more focus because we have learnt from the past.
“We are not going to take anything for granted concerning the game, we are going to make sure that we come out successfully, bring out our best and ensure we achieve our aims. Our aim is to make sure we come out with three points and by the special grace of God, He will make it possible for us,” Oboabona concluded.
On his part, Germany-based Leon Balogun assured of their readiness to give their all without leaving anything to chance.
