Former militant generals from the Niger-Delta States, have reassured President Muhammadu Buhari that they are not going back to the creeks and no more pipeline vandalisation in Niger Delta throughout his administration.
They said the decision was in line with the slogan of the All Progressive Congress, APC, ‘change’ to give room to the Buhari’s administration to bring his transformation agenda to all sectors of government and the Nigeria nation at large.
The former militants gave this assurance during a meeting in Warri, which was convened by their leader, Commander Bibi Oduku, whom they all referred to as the only gateway to relative peace in the region.
They commended Commander Oduku for being steadfast and committed to the realization of lasting peace in the region, adding that no more going back to the creeks, kidnapping and other social vices.
The former militants explained that from the onset of President Muhammadu Buhari aspiration to contest for the presidential election, which he eventually won, that Commander Oduku has played major role with his security network before, during and after the victory of Buhari.
“We are assuring our leader, Commander Oduku of our total commitment to support Buhari’s administration to bring the needed change to the door step of all Nigerians home and abroad”
