Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has explained why he made recent visits to the Republic of Turkey, Russia and China stating that the trips were meant to give boost to the prompt actualisation of his campaign promise of industrialising the state in his second term.
The Governor, who gave the explanation in Owerri while interacting with newsmen shortly after his arrival to the state from Abuja, assured that the state will soon enjoy steady power supply to power the proposed industries and factories.
He noted that efforts were being intensified to make the epileptic power supply in the state an issue of history stressing that artisans in the state would be properly organized to kick-start the job creation programme of the rescue administration.
The governor while recounting his experience of the oversea trips, noted that he was in those countries to ensure that he delivers his campaign promises of creating jobs, establishing industries in the state.
Okorocha also harped on his plans to ensure the aesthetics of the state was restored maintained that his plan is to create a conducive environment that would attract investors to the state to boost the internally generated Revenue.
According to him, “there will be a training programme for them, in order to enable them perform optimally; pointing out that the gesture would go a long way to ensure that artisans contribute towards the growth of the economy.”
