After meeting with Nigeria’s U-23 Head Coach Samson Siasia and that of Super Falcons Christopher Danjuma, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has stated that the essence of inviting both coaches was to rob mind and chat a way forward ahead of their second leg Olympic qualifier matches in Congo and Equatorial Guinea.
The federation speaking through its technical committee chairman Felix Anyansi claimed that contrary to insinuation in the public domain, both coaches are not being subjected under pressure even as he expressed the ability of their lads to pick Olympic ticket next week.
According to him, “Our meeting with Siasia and Danjuma was fruitful. Some people said they were summoned, they were not. They were invited to rub minds concerning the situation we have found ourselves. We are all concerned, We are Nigerians.
“They played so well, give it to them. We are not panicking; we have absolute confidence in Dream team and Super Falcons. We believe they will all qualify.
While Dream team defeated their Congolese counterpart 2-1, Super Falcons managed a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea in Abuja.
