English Championship club
Wolverhampton Wanderers
have moved quickly to sign John
Ruddy as a direct replacement for
Nigeria goalkeeper Carl Ikeme,
who has been diagnosed with
acute Leukaemia.
Ikeme’s treatment could run for
six months, experts said.
Ruddy signed as a free agent
after he was released by another
England Championship outfit
Norwich City.
The 30-year-old Ruddy has
played for several top clubs
including Everton and Bristol
In December, Wolves No 1 Ikeme
signed a contract extension to
keep him at Wolves till 2020.
