A non-governmental organisation in the state, Good Governance Support Group, GGSG, made the warning on Saturday in a release signed by its State Chairman, Mr. Gbenga Oyeleke and Secretary, Mr. Sola Olojede respectively and made available to Nigerian Pilot Sunday.
Similarly, the governor reminded of the promise he voluntary made by paying the outstanding pensions and salaries latest by June ending, saying, the promise represents a covenant between him and the traumatised retirees and civil servants in the state.
The GGSG, which is a group in the state that promotes adequate welfare of pensioners stated further, “We want to ask Mr. Governor to state specifically the actual number of unpaid months of pensions and salaries he intends to pay, and we also want to inform him that, any amount of payments that falls short of the entire outstanding eight months will be unacceptable”.
According to the group, “The Governor should be ready to take full and direct responsibility of any eventuality that emerges as if he fail to fulfil his promise”.
