Yaya Toure’s controversial agent, Dimitri Seluk, has revealed why the Ivorian’s proposed move to Inter failed to materialize.

The 33-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Italian Serie A giants, is currently attempting to fight his way back into contention at Manchester City.

Following a rather public war of words between Pep Guardiola and Seluk, Toure’s future at the club looks rather bleak. The feud was re-ignited after the Spanish coach decided against including the midfielder in the club’s UEFA Champions League squad.

But, despite all that has happened – Seluk now says that there is no animosity in the relationship between the two parties.

“Problems between Yaya and Pep? No, absolutely not, I deny those rumours,” Seluk stated in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.

“Yaya will stay at Manchester City, there’s a valid contract until the end of the season and after that we’ll see what’s best for his future.

Moreover, Toure’s representative also revealed why the former Barcelona midfielder never joined the Nerazzurri from the Sky Blues.

“Serie A? There are a lot of teams who would like Yaya, not just in Italy.

“Why did a move to Inter fall through? The problem was Manchester City, who wanted a lot of money to let him go,” Seluk concluded.
