The immediate past governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda has been called upon to consider dumping the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as a result of the unjust treatment meted on the state during the last administration.
The former aide of the governor, Hassan Danlami Bako while speaking to journalists in Bauchi explained that the state received unjust treatment from the previous administration at the federal level in the area of execution of Federal Government projects.
He pointed out that the former governor has contributed a lot towards the development of the state and party in general but the Federal Government led by Goodluck Jonathan failed to allocate any projects to the state.
“People are talking about the international airport, that project was purely executed by the Yuguda administration, the federal government never paid a kobo to the state but unfortunately Jigawa state constructed its own after ours but were paid by the federal government. So as representatives of the 20 local governments in the state, we are advising the former governor to dump the party over the unfair treatment meted on us.”
Hassan Bako stated that states like Akwa Ibom, Jigawa and Nassarawa benefited a lot from the Federal Government in the execution of projects but despite the loyalty of Bauchi State, it was neglected as no single project was executed in the state by the Federal Government.
