Popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Okoro, was last weekend adjudged Best Actress of the Year at the 2016 edition of City People Entertainment Awards in Nigeria.
But, the ‘Ghana Must Go’ actress and producer was not at the award ceremony in Lagos to pick her award.
She told NEWS-ONE on Friday that she was not officially informed and invited to the award ceremony by the organisers.
According to Yvonne, she only got to know about her nomination and her subsequent win via social media after she was tagged.
“I was not officially informed or invited,” she said.
Yvonne’s team also confirmed it never received any correspondent or official communiqué from the organisers informing them about their client’s nomination.
