The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Zamfara State in the last general elections, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has rejected the election petition tribunal judgment, which confirmed the victory of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.
Alhaji Shinkafi expressed his displeasure over the ruling in an interview with newsmen shortly after the tribunal dismissed his case.
The APGA candidate who filed a petition before the election petition tribunal sitting in Gusau challenging the declaration of Abdulaziz Yari as the governor of the state during the last election said the judgment was politically motivated.
He described the judgment as completely wrong and biased, as according to him he brought all the evidences required before the tribunal and nobody challenged such evidences.
Shinkafi who lampooned the tribunal for being one-sided, biased, stressed that APGA would appeal the rule without hesitation and promised to see the case to its logical conclusion.
He said that no amount of intimidation from any quarter will discourage him from moving forward until justice is done to him.
“Imagine people who pretended to be honest, just and fair, and despite the production of all proves and evidences before her, yet they rule against us simply because we are not in power,” he said.
He further, explained that he would petition the judge and the members of her team to the ICPC and EFCC to investigate on how she came about the judgment.
