New executive members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Zamfara State Chapter have been sworn-in to run the affairs of the Union for the next four years in the state.
The newly elected state executives were elected unopposed during the union 8th quadrennial conference held at the union conference hall in Gusau the state capital today.
Speaking shortly after their formal sworn-in ceremony, the new elected state chairman of the union Alh. Ibrahim Muhammad pledged to carry every members along.
He stated that, his leadership would work hand in hand with all the 14 local government headquarters of the Union to move the Union forward.
Muhammad then tasked members of the union in the state to always cooperate with both local, state and national body of the union to enable it attain desired goals.
In his remark, Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari who is represented by the Permanent Secretary for the office of the Secretary to the state government, Alh. Haruna Salau vowed to give every necessary support to the NURTW in the state to achieve success.
It could be recalled that, the NURTW national body had set to conduct elections in all the 36 states branches of the union which was conducted on the 19-10-2015 respectively.
