National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has called on members of the public to help donate blood for treatment of victims of the Zaria bomb blast that have been evacuated to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital , ABUTH, Shika.
In a press statement signed by NEMA’s information officer, Mr. Manzo Ezekiel, Director General of NEMA, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sidi made the call yesterday in Abuja. He said the request was urgent, to help in the survival of the victims that had lost much blood in the attack.
While appreciating the quick response in the evacuation of the victims, he assured them of the immediate support of NEMA in the deployment of medical consumables and drugs for their treatment in the hospital.
It will be recalled that 26 lives were lost and 33 injured in the explosion that occurred at the premises of Sabon Gari Local Government Secretariat, Zaria on Tuesday morning.
